Critique Paper Behind the Speech of Manuel L. Quezon.

Former President Manuel Luis Quezon y Molina or know as Manuel L. Quezon was born on August 19, 1878, in Baler, El Principe, Captaincy Genera of the Philippine know as Quezon City. He studies law in San Juan de Letran College by interrupted by the Spanish-American War he knows as bright but lazy. In September 1935 Quezon was elected the First President of the commonwealth of the Philippines establish under U.S tutelage he has the right to speak but not to vote in the United States. Quezon became a popular hero when he criticized Governor Leonard Wood's racist policies with his declaration that he preferred a government run by the Philippines like hell to one run by the Americans like heaven. Senator Claro M. Recto a contemporary describes Quezon as a successful politician because he was a political intrigue master.

As we Critique the speech of Manuel L. Quezon entitled " The policies and achievements of the government and regeneration of the Filipinos" he started the speech by giving a great impact toward the audience that the only character can build national force. It is the people who build the nation by having a good character and it will reflect the nation. He uses comparison between past, present, and future of the government and regeneration of the Filipinos. He also uses inspiring words towards the audience especially towards the students that are the future generation of our nation. Besides, it also stated the negative and positive character of the Filipinos. Just like brave, self-reliant, industrious, easy-going, parasitism and lack of effort. it is not the government that builds the nation but the character of the people itself. President Quezon uses an informative tone on delivering the speech to awake the people who are longer asleep in reality he uses also a figurative speech to make people think what he really wants to deliver. In the last part of the speech which said "We have accomplished our liberation, but the shackles forged by our nation's frailties still bind our spirit. To strike them down, we owe it to our posterity. Many people around the world are struggling to achieve higher levels of prosperity and national security. We're not going to be behind. The Filipino people are marching towards their destiny, to conquer their place in the sun." in this statement which mean that we are creating our own destiny.
In conclusion, the reader may inspired by the speech of Former President Manuel L.Quezon to realize and to be awaken in the reality. Also, it can gain information by reading or listening to the speech of Former President Quezon. It can persuade the audience to became a responsible people in the nation.
